Lowry 360 Access Programme
Lowry 360 is a FREE 6-minute immersive experience of LS Lowry's 'Going to The Match' painting, where high-resolution images are projected on the walls and floor, allowing you to step into Lowry’s painting. We have accessible showings of LOWRY 360 every day, with the following adjustments:
Adjustments
- Dementia-Friendly
In our Dementia Friendly showing, there are no projections on the floor, and the volume is reduced, to support visitors living with dementia to enjoy their experience. - Relaxed
Our Relaxed showing includes reduced volume, and we have ear defenders available on our Access Hub should visitors wish to use these. - Captioned
A Captioned showing includes captions of the narration inside LOWRY 360. We also have a transcript of the narration available on our Access Hub. Captions were produced by Claire McIntyre. - Audio-Described
In our Audio Described showing, an extra voice over narration is included in the experience, describing what is happening in the projections for blind and partially-sighted visitors. The audio description was produced with Anne Hornsby from Mind’s Eye, with Gabriel Clark as narrator. - British Sign Language
Our BSL showing includes two projections integrated into the experience, showing BSL user Jennifer Little signing the narration for d/Deaf and hard of hearing visitors.
